If you love smoky, salted and crispy strips of pork, you’re going to love these recipes! All you meat lovers out there know that bacon is a satisfying all-around meat dish that anyone can enjoy (except for vegans and vegetarians of course). If your love for bacon is strong just like the love you have for your mom, your wife, your husband, your girlfriend, your boyfriend, your dog or your car, then allow us to make your usual bacon eating habits even more awesome with these simple yet delicious bacon recipes. Bacon may not be the healthiest food around, and it’s also been said that a person’s life expectancy will be extended if vegetables and fruits are included in our daily diet, however, just imagine if fruits and vegetables smelled and tasted like bacon! Our planet would certinaly be a happier place.

Thanks to our curiosity to be creative with the foods we love most, we have seen many wild applications of bacon; from candied bacon to bacon pancakes, bacon cupcakes and even bacon coffee, these creations are only the tip of the iceberg. Let us begin!

1. Bacon Maple Pancakes

8 pieces of bacon, chopped into small piecesand cooked

1 ¾ cups of all-purpose white flour or whole wheat flour

1 tablespoon of baking powder

2 tablespoons of sugar

¼ teaspoon of salt

1 slightly beaten egg

½ cup of milk

½ cup of cottage cheese

½ teaspoon of vanilla extract

3 tablespoons of applesauce

1 tablespoon of maple syrup

Cook bacon and chop into small pieces.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, milk and applesauce.

Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture. Stir until the batter smoothens.

Stir in the cottage cheese, maple syrup and vanilla extract.

Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto a hot and lightly greased heavy skillet or griddle.

After spreading the batter, cover it with the chopped bacon, then flip. Cook the pancakes over medium heat for 1-2 minutes or until the pancakes are golden brown on each side.

Serve hot, topped with more bacon and maple syrup.

2. Turbaconducken

5 lbs of bacon

15 lbs of turkey

1 whole small duck

1 whole pre-cut chicken

Wrap the pre-cut chicken in bacon.

Split the whole duck into halves and wrap it in bacon.

Try to insert the chicken and duck into the turkey’s crevices.

Wrap the turkey with bacon. Season all the meat with freshly ground pepper.

Preheat an oven roaster to 200 degrees C and place the meat in the oven.

Cooking will take a whole day over low fire or low heat. Use a meat thermometer to check the meat dunes. The bacon’s smoky and salty flavor will add to the overall taste and moistness.

3. Egg And Bacon Cups

6 eggs

6 bacon strips

An ounce of cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 170 degrees C.

Line a muffin pan/cupcake pan with slices of bacon. Press the bacon strips around the sides of the hole and not the bottom.

Crack an egg into each hole.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper and cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the egg is done.

The bacon and egg cup should pop right out of the muffin pan. Enjoy with a dash of Tabasco sauce.

4. Bacon, Brie And Basil Pasta

4 pieces of thinly sliced bacon

Approx. 2 handfuls of pasta

½ cup of pasta water

½ cup of thinly sliced yellow onion

1 clove of garlic, minced

½ lb of Brie, cut into cubes

10 basil leaves

Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions or until al dente. Keep 1/2 a cup of the paster water for later before draining the pasta and setting aside.

Place the bacon in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon until golden brown and crispy.


Add the onion into the skillet over medium high heat until caramelised. Add the garlic and toss the mixture around for 30 seconds.

Add the brie into the skillet along with the reserved pasta water. Stir until the cheese is melted and then add the cooked pasta to the mixture.

5. Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Burger

1 pound of lean ground beef

1/3 cup of chopped onions

1/3 cup of chopped jalapeño with seeds removed

½ teaspoon of cumin

½ teaspoon of garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste


1 tomato


Jalapeño jack cheese

For the jalapeño relish:

2 pieces of fire-roasted jalapeños

4 fire-roasted wheels of sweet onion

Lime juice

Salt  and pepper to taste

Slice the jalapeno jack into strips. Wrap the strips and bacon around the cheese and fry until the bacon is golden brown. Set aside.

For the relish, chop the roasted onion and jalapeño. Combine it with lime juice and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

To season the meat, add the chopped onion , garlic, and jalapeño powder, cumin and black pepper.

Shape the ground beef into patties and season with salt before placing on a very hot grill or griddle.

Flip the burger on the other side and top with cheese. The burger is ready when the cheese melts.

Toast the buns and assemble all the ingredients. Garnish with jalapeño poppers.

6. Bacon Fried Rice

2 strips of bacon

3 tablespoons of bacon fat

1 lightly beaten egg

1 chopped shallot

2 cups of mashed cooked rice

½ cup of frozen peas

Salt, pepper and soy sauce to taste

Use a wok to cook your fried rice. Make sure that the wok is very hot before cooking. A very hot wok will prevent rice from sticking.

Put the bacon fat in the hot wok. Add the shallots and cook until translucent.

Add the frozen peas until cooked and tender.

Add the rice and stir frequently so it becomes fluffy and not sticky.

Pour the slightly beaten egg over the rice. Stir the rice constantly, so that the eggs coats the rice evenly.

Add salt, soy sauce and pepper for additional taste.

This fried rice goes well with scrambled eggs and deep fried pork belly or fried pork chops. Enjoy.

7. Bacon Fat Biscuits

2 cups of all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

¾ teaspoon of baking powder

2 tablespoons of chilled bacon fat

2 tablespoons of cubed butter

1 cup of buttermilk

Preheat the oven to 230 degrees C.

Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.

Add the bacon fat and butter.

Pour in the buttermilk to combine the ingredients.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape it into a rectangle about ¼ of an inch thick.

Fold the dough over itself into thirds. Bring one side of the dough past the center and repeat with the other side.

Pat out the dough into ¼ of an inch thick rectangles.

Cut the dough into biscuit shapes using a round  cookie cutter or a round glass.

Bake it for about 15-20  minutes or until the top is golden brown.

8. Hot Cheesy Bacon Dip

2 bricks of cream cheese

4 cups of sharp cheddar

16 ounces of sour cream

8-10 cooked bacon strips

1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon onion powder

Combine all the ingredients, except a quarter of your chopped bacon. You need this to top your dip.

Mix well until blended.

Pour into a casserole dish and top it with the remaining bacon.

Bake the mix at 350 degrees C for about 25 minutes or until the top forms a crust.

Serve it with your preferred vegetables, crackers or chips.

9. Bacon And Egg Pizza

6 ounces of thick cut bacon cut crosswise into 1/3 inch pieces

1 tablespoon of heavy cream

4 large eggs

Kosher salt

2 tablespoons of unsalted butter

1 pound of pizza dough

All-purpose flour for dusting

3 ounces of beer

2 ounces of shredded mozzarella

1/3 cup of creme fraiche

Preheat oven to 260 degrees C with a pizza stone inside. Spread the bacon on a pie plate and bake for 15 minutes. Stir once and cook until crispy. Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain excess grease.

In a bowl, whisk the cream and eggs with a pinch of salt. Cook the eggs and 1 tablespoon of butter in a nonstick pan over low heat. Whisk frequently until the eggs are creamy and form small curds. Remove the eggs from the heat and stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Season with salt.

Stretch out the pizza dough to a 12 inch round pizza crust on a lightly floured surface. Spread the creme fraiche over the dough. Leave about an inch border around the dough crust. Top with bacon, mozzarella and brie.

Slide the pizza dough onto the pizza stone and bake for about 7 minutes or until the crust is lightly brown and the cheese is bubbling. Remove the pizza from the oven and then spoon the scrambled eggs on the top. Slide the pizza back into the oven and bake for another 2 minutes. Sprinkle with a bit of extra virgin olive oil. Cut into wedges and serve hot.

10. Roasted Brussels Sprouts With Bacon

1 pound of large brussles sprouts, cut in half and the brown ends cut off

4 slices of thick-cut diced bacon

2 tablespoons of olive oil

½ teaspoon of salt

¼ teaspoon of black pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees C.

Line a baking sheet with tin foil.

Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Toss to coat everything evenly.

Spread the brussels sprouts on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until tender. Move around occasionally for even cooking.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve while hot.
